Event: Fifth International Oriental Dance Festival 2010 at various locations
Date: October 28th to 31st.
Hundreds of dancers are set to descend on Cape Town this October as part of a special event in aid of charity.
The Fifth International Oriental Dance Festival is to take place at various locations around the city - including the V&A Waterfront - between October 28th and 31st, giving attendees the chance to marvel at the skills of the world's best belly dancers.
Over 500 competitors from 37 dance studios performed to a total of 45,000 people at the event in 2009 and organisers will be hoping for similar levels of interest this year.
Guests staying at luxury London hotel the Twelve Apostles who fancy trying out their dancing skills may want to attend the workshop day on October 29th, while the professionals will be competing across various categories - including Cape Belly Princess, King and Queen - on both the 29th and 30th.
Proceeds from the event will be donated to the Saartjie Baartman Centre for (abused) Women and Children, so attendees can be sure the entrance fee is going to a good cause.
Those who book the Get More From Your Stay package at the Twelve Apostles will be treated to a complimentary drink on arrival at the hotel and spa and can also choose from a fresh seasonal fruit basket placed in their room, afternoon tea by the sea or cocktails at sunset in the Leopard Bar and Lounge.
