Event: Cape Town International Boat Show at the Cape Town International Convention Centre
Date: October 8th to 10th
The glamorous world of boating is coming to Cape Town later this year with the tenth annual Cape Town Boat Show.
Taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre and V&A Waterfront on October 8th to 10th, the event is the biggest of its kind in South Africa and attracts large numbers of overseas visitors.
Owning a boat is likely to be an ambition for many - be it a yacht to use on holiday or a vessel for exploring some of the world's best fishing spots - and those who attend the 2010 show will be able to browse a wide range of boating-related products.
This year's event is making greater use of the V&A Waterfront, so attendees who are feeling especially flush and planning on making a purchase will be able to get a good look at any potential buy before making a decision.
Previous shows have also featured attractions such as wakeboarding demonstrations and organisers noted "additional activities and events" are to be added this year, meaning there is likely to be something for everyone to enjoy.
Guests staying at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles will be just a short distance away from the CTICC and those who have booked the Hibernate to Rejuvenate package will be able to take advantage of a variety of relaxing offerings, including a 40-minute head and shoulder massage, a five-course dinner from the Azure Restaurant's winter menu and access to the hotel's 16-seater cinema.
