Earthdance Cape Town to get underway

Event: A celebration of music, dance and art is to take place in Cape Town
Date: September 17th until September 19th

There are many things to do on a trip to South Africa and, now the mania of the World Cup has subsided, it could be perfect opportunity to explore the country's cultural highlights.

Those on a trip to the nation's second largest city may want to check out this year's Earthdance Cape Town Music and Arts Festival.

Taking place from September 17th until 19th, it will spread across a range of locations and it is described by its organisers as a celebration of "all the positive aspects that life has to offer".

Produced by GoodTimes Events, it will incorporate multiple dance floors, information outlets, children's areas, cinema screenings, workshops and much more.

Each year, over 300 Earthdance activities take place in more than 60 countries around the world.

The initiative has risen from humble beginnings in 2000, when organisers had to rely on borrowed equipment, to become a high-profile fiesta.

Those looking to make the most of the musical event might be keen to retire to the peaceful surroundings of luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles.

Indeed, for the ultimate in relaxation, they can opt for the Hibernate to Rejuvenate package, which includes a range of benefits, including unlimited access to plunge pools, a 40-minute head and shoulder massage per person and use of the hotel's movie theatre, among other things.
