Dancers from across South Africa are set to descend on Cape Town next month for the annual Baxter Dance Festival.

The event, which has been running since 2005, gives dance companies from around the country the opportunity to showcase their various works and also gives attendees the chance to see performances from both up-and-coming dancers and established stars.

Taking place between August 25th and August 29th, at the Baxter Theatre in Rondebosch, the programme will include a number of different performances of varying lengths.

And the final day of the event will be dedicated to the Fringe programme, including work by local youth groups, traditional African dancers and schools.
