There will be laughs aplenty when the Vodacom Funny Festival rolls into Cape Town in early June.

Showcasing the finest comedic talent South Africa has to offer, it is a must see for those who enjoy a night of stand-up comedy.

This year's event will see the likes of Tumi Morake, Ndumiso Lindi and Nik Rabinowitz take to the stage and leave the audience in stitches with their musings and observations.

It is not just seasoned veterans who will be taking over the microphone, however, as the festival is a chance for up-and-coming talent to show what they are made of.

Complimenting the local talent will be various international comedians, including the UK's Jason Wood, Alan Committee and Mario Queen of the Circus.

The event is strictly over-18s only, meaning those in the audience can expect some pretty close-to-the-bone comedy.
