Subtropicalia at the Michael Stevenson Fine Art Centre

Paul Edmunds is one of South Africa's most prominent artists and guests at the luxury Cape Town hotel the 12 Apostles can get to know him and his love affair with pattern, form and symmetry.

Subtropicalia is his latest project and was inspired by his childhood growing up in Johannesburg during the 1970s and 80s, when he was a keen surfer and skateboarder.

His work is characterised by a concern with process, pattern and unconventional materials.

This latest exhibition will show how memory and sensory phenomena inform his exploration of repetitive processes, design and forms.
