Whisky lovers from around the globe can visit a festival dedicated to the drink.

The FNB Whisky Live Festival is scheduled to take place at the Cape Town convention centre from November 5th to 7th.

It will be the sixth annual celebration of the spirit and is set to feature over 180 top brands from around the world, including new releases from Scotland, Ireland, the US, Canada, Japan and South Africa.

Other aspects of the festival will be a unique blending zone, flavour map and a series of 15 unique whisky tasting sessions.

Visitors to the event will also be able to attend a number of lectures from distillers, brand ambassadors and whisky experts.

Those attending the festival could sample the Twelve Apostles hotel and spa, just a few minutes from the centre of Cape Town and indulge in its Man About Town package which greets visitors with a chilled bottle of Bouchard Finlayson South African wine on arrival.
