This summer those on family breaks at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles can enjoy authentic South African storytelling at the Khwa-ttu San culture and education centre in Cape Town.

From August 22nd until August 24th 2008, parents and children can be transported back in time and pretend that they are sitting around a village fire and listening to stories of the past, Tourism Cape Town notes.

Two different storytellers, described as "old and wise", will recount tales from "a lifetime of memories in South Africa" including experiences from their different cultures.

The theme for the event is "Fire" and on Sunday families can gather around the campfire to hear special stories aimed at children.
