Fashionistas of the world will be descending on Cape Town this summer for South Africa's largest fashion event of the season.

Cape Town Fashion Week will be taking place from August 13th until 16th 2008, where clothing-conscious customers of luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles can mingle with South Africa's leading fashion designers as they launch their Spring/Summer 2008/2009.

Tourism Cape Town notes that this year's event is sponsored by Virgin Mobile and as such will be this year renamed the Virgin Mobile Cape Town Fashion Week.

Paul Jackson, chief executive officer of African Fashion International noted that the event would present some the "most gifted fashion designers" in Cape Town and that the sponsors "clearly understand fashion, individuality and style".

And this is not simply a fashion event, as it is anticipated that Cape Town will "come alight" in the evenings with after parties taking place at venues across the city as designers celebrate their new launches.

Both female travellers and men staying at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles can look forward to picking up tips at this impressive event.
