Event: Children's entertainment at Kirstenbosch this summer
Date: July 2008
Parents and children travelling to South Africa to enjoy family breaks at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles can take advantage of a special offer at the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens this summer.
A selection of free entertainment is being put on aimed at children and their parents during the summer holidays.
From such activities as face painting and making balloon animals to comedy magic shows, clowns and workshops, the entertainment will take place at Silvertree Restaurant.
The shows, taking place in late June and early July, are free to attend and children can also enjoy free entrance into the botanical gardens.
And to make sure that adults are not left out, workshops focusing on garden maintenance and pruning, potting plants for pleasure, planting a window box and decorating cup cakes and biscuits will take place on July 2nd.
A highlight of the summer children's events calendar will take place on July 11th, when Jimmy Long Legs will put on a clown show for visitors. Children can also enjoy clown games.
As the entertainment takes place at Silvertree Restaurant, visitors used to the fine dining at the Twelve Apostles will not be disappointed, as the establishment offers a choice of set menu, buffet and canape selection featuring fish cakes topped with rose caviar mayonnaise.
