Event: Stars of the Ballet Moscow:

A tribute to one of the most talented ballet performers of all time is taking place in Cape Town this June.
In honour of Rudolf Nureyev's 70th anniversary, Stars of the Ballet Moscow will be performed in Cape Town between June 4th and 8th 2008.
Rudolf Nureyev is considered by many as one of the greatest male dancers of the 20th century and many events around the world are to take place in honour of the occasion.
Stars of the Ballet Moscow will be directed by Yuri Vetrov, a former director of the Bolshoi Ballet, and the production will feature dancers from ballet companies such as the Moscow State Classical Ballet, Bolshoi Ballet, Russian National Ballet, Kremlin Ballet, Crown of the Russian Ballet and the Metropolitan Classical Ballet of the US.
Whether familiar with Nureyev's work or simply curious to see what the fuss is about, those staying at luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles are likely to be impressed by this special occasion if they visit this show at the Artscape Theatre over these dates.
The programme includes a documentary of Nureyev's life with scenes from La Bayadere, Don Quixote and The Dying Swan performed by artists of Stars of the Ballet Moscow in addition to a suite from Alexander Glazunov's ballet Raymonda which will feature prima ballerina Marina Rzhannikova, a member of the Moscow State Classical Ballet.
