Special wine evenings in Cape Town

Event: Starry, Starry Nights at The House of Krone, Twee Jonge Gezellen Wine Estate

Wine lovers should book into luxury Cape Town hotel the Twelve Apostles in the new year and take full advantage of a series of special evenings dedicated to the vine-produced drink at nearby Twee Jonge Gezellen Wine Estate.

The luxurious wine estate will host Starry, Starry Nights - a special insight into the harvesting of the fruit - on January 23rd, 24th, 30th - 31st 2008 and February 6th, 7th, 13th 2008.

Guests will be able to enjoy a sumptuous three course dinner at the second-oldest family-owned wine estate in South Africa before taking a trip into the fields to see how the grapes are harvested in the cool night air.

Visitors from nearby luxury hotel the Twelve Apostles will learn how the grapes are harvested in the moonlight in order to retain the fine subtle flavours - a method pioneered by the Krone family and now adopted by most Western Cape growers.

On return to luxury hotel the Twelve Apostles, guests can enjoy a day of relaxation in two breathtaking pool gardens which are located above the Atlantic Ocean.
